ComUnique was founded in 1991, by translator Maria Cecília Palma Pastorelli and mechanical engineer Paulo Roberto de Toledo Pastorelli in São Paulo. The reason was to supply translation services mainly to Merck Sharp & Dohme and to the recently-created PC-Magazine Brasil. Maria Cecília had concluded her Letters and Translation Specialist courses at Universidade de São Paulo and both had just arrived from a professional assignment in the United States.

Throughout almost 15 years the quality of the services supplied improved and the number of customers increased.

ComUnique has supplied high quality translation services to a large number of customers even abroad (University of Iowa – United States – and Cogen – Belgium).
